Dr. O. Wayne Mortenson
Dr. Mortenson was born and raised in the small town of Elfrida, in Southern Arizona. He received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona in agriculture. After working for many years teaching, farming and for Ralston Purina, Dr. Mortenson and his wife Sue decided it was time for a change, and moved the family to Louisville, Kentucky, so that he could attend dental school. The farming bug never left Dr. Mortenson though, and you will still find him most weekends, and any chance he can get, working at his farm in Oldham County. After graduating from The University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1979, Dr. Mortenson opened his first dental practice in what was then a small town Middletown Kentucky. Dr. Mortenson's kids can remember him anxiously counting the bricks on the outside of his office building in excitement and anticipation as he attempted to determine the building's size after renting it. That practice has now expanded to 27 offices, thanks to Dr. Mortenson's great vision, and has treated thousands of patients over the years. Patients of Dr. Mortenson say that it is his caring personality and kind nature that make him such a great dentist. When his practice first opened, Dr. Mortenson saw patients and Sue worked at the front desk. With a lot of hard work and determination the Mortensons have built their practice over the years from those first few initial patients to the many thousands they serve today. They have also been privileged to have all four of their children enter the field of dentistry in one way or another. Dr. Mortenson is a qualified member of the Crown Council. He was instrumental in putting together the Mastermind Group, an association of the leading dentists in the country, and recently recognized for its excellence. Dr. Mortenson has received numerous awards for his charitable work including, the Garth Brooks Teammates for kids award.

Dr. Suzanne Ahnquist, DMD, FAGD, FACE - Georgetown Office
Dr. Ahnquist started her career at Valparaiso University, where she received her B.S. in Biology and Chemistry. After attending graduate school at Northwestern University, completing studies in medical microbiology, she returned to school at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry where she received her D.M.D. She has completed extensive training in endodontics (root canals), orthodontics, dental materials and over 1,000 hours of hands-on training in cosmetic dentistry and rehabilitative dentistry. Dr. Ahnquist is an avid skier and scuba diver, loves Broadway plays and high school marching bands. She shares these interests with her two sons, Kyle and Karl. She also enjoys photography and has a passion for renovating homes, which she hopes to continue if she ever retires!

Dr. Roua Al-Rawi - Georgetown Office
Dr. Roua Al-Rawi comes to us from the state of Michigan, where she completed a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan. Dr.Roua is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the Kentucky Dental Association, and the Bluegrass Dental Society. Dr. Roua always knew that she wanted to work in the health field so that she could provide care for others while improving their health. Her interest in human health, coupled with her interest in detail-oriented work led her to dentistry. Dr.Roua is passionate about dentistry and committed to providing excellent, comprehensive care. She believes in a dental philosophy that puts the patient first, and is dedicated to providing personal oral health care as she believes it is the window to overall health. Dr. Roua is a self-proclaimed "foodie" and she and her husband love to try new restaurants. She also enjoys being outdoors, reading and traveling.

Dr. Michael Barrington - Frankfort Office
Dr. Michael Barrington had early exposure to the field of dentistry. He grew up as a patient of Dr. O. Wayne Mortenson in Middletown, KY. During his undergraduate studies, he spent summers working with Dr. Wayne as an assistant. This experience encouraged Dr. Barrington to study dentistry at the University of Louisville and earn his D.M.D. In addition, he is a graduate of Eastern High School and received his B.S. in economics and chemistry from Brigham Young University. Dr. Barrington is also fluent in Spanish. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Caroline and their son Charlie, driving, and watching college football.

Dr. Carl Beard - Shepherdsville Office
Dr. Beard grew up in Oldham County and received his B.S. in Biology and his D.M.D. from the University of Kentucky. Over the years, he has strived to care for his patients as if they were his family. His goal is to provide comprehensive care in as gentle a manner as possible. Dr. Beard is married and has two children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, working around the house and working on his old Firebird.

Dr. Aaron S. Berger - Audubon Office
Dr. Aaron S. Berger is a Louisville native. After graduating from DeSales High School, he attended Bellarmine University on soccer and academic scholarships, and earned a B.A. in Biology prior to obtaining his D.M.D. from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He loves it when his patients tell him daily that they didn't feel a thing! Dr. Berger and his wife Rachael have a 4 year old chocolate lab named Daisy. Dr. Berger and his wife still play indoor soccer with friends every week. Dr. Berger occasionally enjoys participating in local driving events sponsored by the SCCA. Dr. Berger and his wife had their first child in November.

Dr. Scott Boatright - Springhurst Office
Dr. Scott Boatright is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Boatright spent a few years practicing in Paducah, Kentucky, before returning to Louisville. Since joining our team in 2000, Dr. Boatright has proven to not only give the very best dental care to his patients, but also provides them with outstanding service.

Dr. Blair Brown - Dixie Highway Office
Dr. Brown is a transplant to Louisville, and to the United States. Blair was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. Dr. Brown received his B.S. in Chemistry from Brigham Young University. He took a leap of faith by moving to Louisville to attend the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. During his freshman year of dental school, he met, dated and married his wife Laura, who is from Richmond, Kentucky. Dr. Brown graduated from the University of Louisville School Of Dentistry in May 2009. Dr. Brown and Laura have a daughter named Cami and a son named Noah. When not working, Dr. Brown enjoys playing with his children, camping, watching the History and Discovery Channels and BBQ smoking.

Dr. Marianne Campbell - New Albany Office
Dr. Marianne Campbell was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1991, and since then has focused on continuing her professional development. Dr. Campbell has continued her education in sedation dentistry, laser dentistry and has completed course work at the Pankey Institute. In her spare time, Dr. Campbell enjoys her "Mom" time with her 3 kids, watching and participating in sports and working around the house.

Dr. Tammra Catron - Jeffersontown Office
Originally from the Lake Cumberland area, Dr. Catron earned her D.M.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 1993. In 2008, Dr. Catron joined Mortenson Family Dental, where she specializes in surgical implant placement and restoration, cosmetics, endodontics and removable prosthetics. In her spare time, Dr. Catron enjoys boating, skiing and many other outdoor activities.

Dr. Stacey Combs - Crestwood Office
Dr. Stacey Combs was born in the small town of Hyden, Kentucky. She studied biology and chemistry at Alice Loyd College and also worked as a dental assistant. Her experience as a dental assistance sparked her passion for creating beautiful smiles. Dr. Combs continued her education at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, where she achieved the Student Merit Award from the Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their 2 boys, and their dog Henry.

Dr. Luke Derhake - Iroquois and Lebanon Junction Offices
Dr. Derhake was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended the University of Louisville as an undergraduate and received his DMD from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1979. In that same year, Dr. Derhake began his own practice in Lebanon Junction, KY. Dr. Derhake is an active member of his community. He served for many years as a deacon at his church, and is a member of a number of other organizations as well. Dr. Derhake has been on a number of mission trips with his church, leading a few of them. On a mission trip to Brazil, Dr. Derhake, along with other dentists, cared for the dental needs of young boys at an orphanage. The trip also included construction work and getting to know and minister to the young men there. He enjoys teaching Sunday School, boating, golfing and just sharing a good joke. You will often find him spending time with his wife, Terri, and their two children and spouses, and their grandchildren.

Dr. E. Robert Dick - DuPont Office
Dr. E. Robert Dick completed his degree at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1979. His is a firm believer in continuing educations, enhancing his skills and knowledge with numerous post graduate clinical courses each year. During the spring of 2006, Dr. Dick joined the top 1% of dentist in the nation by graduating (with honors) from the distinguished national clinical training program in cosmetic dentistry and smile enhancement, facilitated by the Hornbrook Group. Taking a special interest in cutting edge techniques and relationship dentistry, Dr. Dick is a proud member of the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, Louisville Dental Society and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Alyssa Dykgraaf - Jeffersonville Office
Alyssa Dykgraaf was exposed to dentistry while working as an Americorps Volunteer at the Spanish Catholic Center Dental Clinic in Washington, DC. She was inspired by the depth and breadth of the providers she worked with there and decided to pursue a career in dentistry. She attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and continued her training at University of Louisville's hospital based General Practice Residency Two-year Program. Quality patient care, comfort, and creating an enjoyable atmosphere for all are her daily goals. When she is not working, she's usually riding her "super" horse, Tobey.

Dr. James Elias - Forest Green Office
A graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, Dr. Elias has been in practice since 1994. As a family dentist, he takes time to explain exactly what he will be doing and how long the procedure will take. Dr. Elias has furthered his practice by investing in many new and exciting technologies. These include two different types of dental lasers and a CEREC, which allows him to start and finish a crown in the same appointment. When he's not working, Dr. Elias spends time with his wife Patti and their four children.

Dr. Jessica Eugenio - Shelbyville Office
Dr. Eugenio is a 1996 Graduate from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. She has lived in the Highlands area since 1992. Dr. Eugenio has taken numerous Continuing Education courses, including Endodontics and Orthodontics, as well as having a certification in Invisalign and a membership with the Kentucky Association of Women Dentists. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her family. She has been married to Jun Eugenio for 15 years and they have two children, Lauren and Rhys.

Dr. C. Bryan Fox - Jefferson Mall Office
Dr. C. Bryan Fox is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, and has pursued many continuing education opportunities in sedation dentistry, Invisalign, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Fox's talents aren't limited to dentistry. He is also lead singer for a rock band that plays several shows a month at local venues. When he's not working or rockin', Dr. Fox spends his time with his wife Ryan and his beautiful girls Dylan and Pepper.

Dr. Robert Fuchs - Audubon Office
Dr. Robert Fuchs received his D.M.D. from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1979, graduating in the top 5% of his class. Opening his practice in June 1979, Dr. Fuchs has practiced General Dentistry at his present location since 1980. Dr. Fuchs is a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, which is widely recognized as one of the country's most prestigious post-graduate teaching institutions for neuromuscular health and cosmetics. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association and the Louisville Dental Society as well as an associate member of the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Fuchs has been married to his wife Martha since 1974 and they have three children, Lauren, Danny and Carolyn. Other than dentistry, Dr. Fuchs and his family love to play golf!

Dr. Nilima Mohan Horlander - Jeffersonville & Valley Station
Dr. Nilima Horlander joined us after practicing in Chicago for over 6 years. She is originally from Louisville and attended Sacred Heart Academy before graduating from Xavier University. She continued her education and received her dental degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2005. Dr. Horlander and her husband Greg have 2 children and a sweet Golden Retriever named Henna. Dr. Horlander is Invisalign© Certified, a member of the ADA and CDS (Chicago Dental Society) and is looking forward to joining the Kentucky Dental Association and Louisville Dental Association soon! In her spare time, Dr. Horlander enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, cheering on the Louisville Cardinals (especially in basketball!) and taking walks with her kids.

Dr. Amanda Jackson - Shelbyville East Office
Dr. Jackson was born and raised in southern Oregon. She completed her undergraduate degree in Accounting at Walla Walla University in eastern Washington. She then moved south and completed dental school at Loma Linda University in Southern California in 2006. Dr. Jackson and her husband Ryan were ready for a change of scenery and moved to the Louisville area in June, 2010. They are in love with the lush, beautiful surroundings as well as the warm, welcoming people of Kentucky! She enjoys reading about advances in dentistry and implementing preventative dentistry techniques whenever possible.

Dr. Vita Kadylak - Valley Station Office
Dr. Vita Kadylak was born in the Ukraine and moved to Seattle with her family at age five. She earned her Bachelor's degree in history at the University of Washington and her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in sunny Southern California. Dr. Kadylak loves the outdoors. She loves running, rock climbing, surfing, mountain biking; pretty much anything active. More than being active though she loves people and dentistry. She is a ray of sunshine that lights up any room. Her smile is contagious and you cannot help but be elated being around her.

Dr. Joe Koval - Shelbyville Office
Dr. Joseph Koval was born in Orange County, New York, but moved to Kentucky in time to attend Oldham County High School. He continued his education at the University of Louisville, and after graduating from the School of Dentistry, Dr. Koval joined the Mortenson Family Dental team and has practiced in Shelbyville, Kentucky ever since. Dr. Koval and his wife Holly, have three children, Nicole, Haley, and Ryan, and a dog (a boxer named Jersey). They enjoy spending time boating on different lakes around the state. And if there is any time left after practicing dentistry, raising three children and a dog, and going to the lake, Dr. Koval spends it restoring his classic mustang.

Dr. Garry Meeks - Iroquois Park Office
Dr. Meeks, a Louisville native, is a 1992 graduate of DuPont Manual High School. After graduating from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee with a B.S. in Biology, Dr. Meeks decided to pursue a career in dentistry and earned his D.M.D from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in July 2001. Upon graduation, he was awarded a residency at the prestigious University of Florida Postgraduate Advanced General Dentistry Program. During this time he gained valuable experience in all aspects of dentistry from hospital based care to advanced cosmetic procedures. Dr. Meeks is now in general practice. He is active in the community as a Germantown baseball coach and as an assistant coach for a local high school.

Dr. Matt Morgan - Elizabethtown Office
Dr. Matt Morgan was born in Louisville and grew up in neighboring Oldham County. Dr. Morgan received a B.A. in Biology from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky and graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1996. He then completed an additional year of training through the University's hospital-based General Practice Residency. Dr. Morgan enjoys traveling and his travels have, at times, included dentistry - as he has been fortunate to participate in several dental mission trips to Nicaragua, and along the Amazon River in Brazil. Dr. Morgan also speaks "functional" Spanish and enjoys the opportunity to talk with patients in Spanish when possible. Dr. Morgan currently lives in Bardstown, Kentucky, with his wife Kelli and their two daughters Lili and Maia. When not working and traveling, he enjoys mountain-biking, and his favorite hobby, water-skiing.

Dr. Jeff Mortenson - Middletown Office
It is easy to recognize Dr. Jeff Mortenson at the Middletown office - he's the doctor with a trail of children following him around. Dr. Jeff, as he is affectionately known, has a special rapport with the younger set. He praises himself on being able to calm even the toughest customer - kids and adults! Dr. Jeff was born in Douglas, Arizona and moved to Louisville when he was young so that his father could attend University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Jeff is a proud graduate of Trinity High School and Brigham Young University, where he pursued his undergraduate studies after serving in a two-year church mission in the Netherlands. In August 1995, Dr. Jeff enrolled in dental school at The University of Louisville and graduated in May 1999. He began practicing dentistry at Mortenson Family Dental right after graduation. With one small request, Dr. Jeff can make you look like a movie star.

Dr. Mark Mortenson - Jefferson Mall Office
Dr. Mark Mortenson and his wife Jessica moved to Louisville to join his family and pursue his career in dentistry at the University of Louisville. He graduated in 2009 and in 2010 he joined the Jefferson Mall dental team. Dr. Mark prides himself as a techno geek and car enthusiast. He was fortunate to spend 5 years living in Central America, where he served a mission for his church and learned to speak fluent Spanish. As a patient, you may appreciate Dr. Mark's calm reassuring demeanor or lighthearted approach towards children. Dr. Mark enjoys spending time with his wife Jessica and their 2 year old boy. They are excited about another little one on the way, too!

Dr. Matthew Mortenson
Dr. Matt Mortenson graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2005. Although Louisville is now his permanent home, he was born and raised in the small town of Winnemucca, NV. He attended Brigham Young University and met his wife, Jen. They were married in 1999 and made the trek across country to Kentucky so Matt could attend dental school. He has always been inspired by and admired his Uncle Wayne Mortenson and is so happy to be following in his footsteps in dentistry. He has been recognized in the prestigious dental organization, The Crown Council, and was recognized with the Individual Achievement Award. Matt and Jen have five young children; Megan, Ben, Zac, Jake and the newest addition Maz. Needless to say, Matt stays very busy at work, and at home, and enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and kids.

Dr. Todd Mortenson - LaGrange Office
If you've been to our LaGrange office, then you've probably seen Dr. Todd Mortenson, and learned of his knack for charming his patients with his charismatic personality! Todd moved with his family from Arizona when he was just a toddler, in an effort to support their Dad while he attended The University of Louisville School of Dentistry . After graduating from Trinity High School, Dr. Todd pursued his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University. Dr. Todd graduated from the University of Louisville Dental School in May of 1998 and has been working for Mortenson Family Dental ever since. Todd and his wife Julie have six children; Hannah, Nolan, Lucas, Angela, Addison and Presley.

Dr. Lauren Olson-Smith - Jeffersontown Office
Dr. Smith grew up in Oldham County and graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2004. She went on to finish a general practice residency there in 2005. She practiced in Eastern Oregon and North Texas before moving back to the Louisville area last fall. She loves the outdoors, horse back riding, reading, and mostly spending time with her family. She has 2 little boys, a husband and 3 dogs. She appreciates all aspects of dentistry and decided to become a dentist because she enjoys helping people. Her patient care philosophy is to take care of her patients as if they were her family members.

Dr. Kimberly Owen - Hillview Office
Dr. Kimberly Owen earned her Doctorate Degree of Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2002. Dr. Owen is a true University of Louisville fan. She also has a Business and Communications degree from the University of Louisville School of Business. Dr. Owen is a member of the American Dental Association and the Kentucky Dental Association. Kim and her husband, Jeff have two sons, Tanner and Trey that keep them very busy. In her spare time, Kim enjoys playing golf, running, cheering on her kids at various sporting events, volunteering and traveling.

Dr. Jera Redman-Owens - Shepherdsville Office
Dr. Jera Redman-Owens is a native of Taylorsville, Kentucky. She received her Bachelors degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of Louisville and her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Owens practiced in Georgia for over six years and just recently relocated back to Louisville! Although she loves all aspects of dentistry, her passion is for pediatric and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Owens resides in Louisville with her husband John, son Evan, and Woody (the wonder dog). Her hobbies include reading, traveling, biking, water sports, all college sporting events, and spending time with her family & friends.

Dr. Selena Pape - Prospect Office
Dr. Selena Pape is a graduate of the Ohio State University School of Dentistry. Dr. Pape is an excellent dentist who takes great pride in making sure her patient needs are her top priority. Patients often comment on her gentle technique, and how they no longer have a fear of the dentist in her care. When Dr. Pape isn't in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Rich, and daughter, Sarah. You might also find her at the horse park competing in riding events.

Dr. Tyson Perrero DMD - Highlands Office
Dr. Tyson Perrero was born and raised in Mapleton, Utah. Dr. Perrero graduated from Utah Valley State College with an Associate's Degree in Science and continued his education receiving his B.S. from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Perrero graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. While attending Louisville, he received awards for outstanding achievement in Esthetic Dentistry, Dental Anesthesiology, Implant Dentistry, and Oral Science. Dr. Perrero is happily married and a proud dad to his little girl and twin boys. Dr. Perrero enjoys spending time outdoors, playing golf, football and soccer, and spending as much time as possible with his family.

Dr. Dani Renslow - Carrollton Office
Dr. Dani Renslow, who grew up in California, moved to Utah her sophomore year in high school. Dr. Renslow attended Brigham Young University for her undergraduate studies. While attending BYU, Dr. Renslow was also involved in many research programs, and attended Stanford University John Hopkins Marine Center in California. When she decided to make dentistry her career, Dr. Renslow attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where she graduated in 2003. Dr. Renslow now practices in our Carrollton office, and we couldn't be happier to have such a caring doctor helping our friends in Carrollton.

Dr. Sara Rogers - Elizabethtown Office
Born and raised on dairy farm in Bloomfield, Kentucky, Dr. Sara Rogers has always stayed true to her rural roots. She and her husband Clayton live in Cox's Creek, where they raise cattle and grain. Sara received her B.S. in 2006 from Western Kentucky University and then earned her D.M.D. from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Her goal is to provide optimal care and service for every patient. She hopes to offer a warm and friendly atmosphere where patients can feel comfortable at the dental office. Sara enjoys shopping, movies, going to the lake, working in the yard, helping her husband on the farm and spending time with her family.

Dr. Phillip Schuler - Shepherdsville Office
Dr. Phillip Schuler was raised in the south end of Louisville, Kentucky. He met his wife Jerri while they were still in high school, and they have been married for 25 years. The Schulers have two wonderful children, Samantha, a 20 year-old junior at Bellarmine University and Chris, a 16 year-old junior at Bethlehem High School. Dr. Schuler attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and graduated in 1986. When he's not in the office, Dr. Schuler enjoys traveling with his wife, fishing and hiking, restoring old Volkswagens, reading, and hanging out at his farm in Springfield, Kentucky.

Dr. James Smith - New Albany Office
Dr. Smith is a Kentucky native who moved to Louisville after graduating from Centre College in Danville, KY to attend the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. After being in private practice in South Louisville, Dr. Smith joined Mortenson Family Dental in the summer of 2008. Dr. Smith graduated from dental school with his wife, Dr. Danielle, a pediatric dentist, who also joined Mortenson Family Dental in 2008. Most of their spare time is spent with their 2 daughters, but they also enjoy working on their house, nights out and boating.

Dr. James Steltenpohl - Clinical Director - Jefferson Mall Office
Dr. Steltenpohl is a Louisville native who graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Steltenpohl has practiced in the south end of Louisville since 1977, and has been at our Jefferson Mall location since 1988. Dr. Steltenpohl has done a great deal of continuing education, especially in the areas of TMJ, dental implants, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Steltenpohl is married and has two children. His son Jim lives and works in Lexington, Kentucky and his daughter Kate is a student at the University of Louisville. Kate is considering dentistry as a career and Jim Jr. is considering dental laboratory technology. Dr. Steltenpohl's wife Ann spends most of her time doing volunteer projects, especially with the Girl Scouts and the Sacred Heart Academy choirs. In his spare time Dr. Steltenpohl enjoys playing golf and motorcycling.

Dr. Nick Tanner - Corydon Office
Originally from Spokane, WA, Dr. Tanner graduated from Brigham Young University in 2006 and moved his family out east to attend University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Tanner truly enjoys getting to know his patients personally and strives to make each dental visit as comfortable as possible. His interests include road biking, photography, volleyball, and playing the piano. Though Dr. Tanner now lives a great distance from where he grew up, the people of Indiana and Kentucky have made him feel right at home!

Dr. Thomas Thurman - Middletown Office
Dr. Thomas Thurman is a Louisville native who received his D.M.D. degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1981. Dr. Thurman met his wife, Susan, a reading specialist for JCPS, when they were both high school students. They have been married since 1978 and have two grown sons, Jeff and Todd. Dr. Thurman is a big advocate of Boy Scouts of America and on the weekends, you might find Dr. Thurman rappelling over a cliff, backpacking through the woods, or whitewater rafting. Dr. Thurman also enjoys driving and restoring sports cars, boating on Lake Cumberland and doing home improvement projects.

Dr. Susan Vlahos - Buechel Office
Dr. Susan Vlahos was born and raised in a small farm community in southern Indiana. As the first generation in her family to attend college, she received her B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Western Kentucky University in 2004. After graduating from University of Louisville Dental School in 2008, she married her husband and together they moved to Okinawa, Japan to serve three years as dentists in the militaiy. While overseas in August of 2010 they welcomed their –rst son, Alekzander, into their family. Dr. Vlahos enjoys practicing dentistry and takes pleasure in helping patients overcome their dental anxieties to attain healthy smiles. Patient satisfaction is of utmost importance to her and her team. Dr. Vlahos spends her free time hanging out with Zander and helping her husband with home improvement projects. She is very happy to be back in the states close to family and friends.

Dr. Gwinn Vonnahme - Glenmary Office
Dr. Gwinn Vonnahme received her D.M.D. degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Gwinn is passionate about dentistry and strives to stay current with the newest technologies and techniques. Her goal for her office is to provide a caring, relaxed, professional and fun experience for all ages and to not only welcome those with dental anxiety, but to provide them with a comfortable and family friendly visit. Her motto: "No Ow-ies" and Happy Faces!! She is a dedicated wife and mother to husband Larin, and her three children: Olivia, Madisyn and Blake. In her spare time Dr. Gwinn enjoys playing with her kids and going on adventures with her family.

Dr. Heather Walker - Valley Station Office
Dr. Walker was born in Florida and attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate studies. She decided to leave the Sunshine State to attend University of Louisville School of Dentistry where she graduated in 2003. After graduation, Dr. Walker served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy where she was stationed in San Diego and Atsugi, Japan. After her four year commitment was complete, Dr. Walker was excited to move back to Louisville with her family. When Dr. Walker is not working, she spends her spare time with her family - husband Michael, son Henry and daughter Elsie - and enjoying the adventures that they bring!

Dr. Fred Wright - Jeffersonville Office
Dr. Wright was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. After graduating from Louisville Male High School, he attended the University of Louisville where he received a B.S. in Biology. Upon graduation from the University, Dr. Wright was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserves. He was then accepted to the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and graduated in 1998. After being promoted to Captain, Dr. Write entered the Army on active duty and served 8.5 years as a dentist in places like Fort Hood in Texas, Bosnia, and Germany. Having served his country and achieving the rank of Major, he left the Army with a dream of returning home and opening a dental practice. Dr. Wright opened our Jeffersonville, IN office in October of 2007. During his spare time, Dr. Wright can be found enjoying nature as an avid outdoor sportsman. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

Dr. Curtis Zimmerman - Florence Office
Dr. Curtis Zimmerman was raised on a farm in rural Minnesota, and moved to Kentucky in 1987. He attended the University of Louisville for his undergraduate studies, earning a B.S. in Biology in 1991. After working for the Louisville Water Company for a number of years, He attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, graduating in 2005. Dr. Zimmerman has a background in public health, as well as practicing privately in the Louisville area. He and his wife have 3 children. He enjoys spending time outdoors engaging in all types of sporting activities.
