If I could give more stars, I would. I’ve been to other Mortensons before, but they don’t compare. My hygienist Sarah was so sweet, very fun, and very accommodating to my needs as someone with spinal issues. The entire office was also accepting of my being transgender, which means more to me than I can express. They called me by my name, my chosen and true name, not my government name. They made a note in my chart regarding my pronouns, and there was not an ounce of judgement in the faces around me.
As for my actual cleaning, it was nice! Sarah told me what she was doing, was efficient and clearly skilled, and my teeth feel so so nice and clean. Meeting with my dentist was wonderful as well. I believe I saw Doctor Sauk. I have pain in one of my teeth from a previous filling, and my previous dentist was very dismissive of my pain. Dr Sauk actually took the time to explain why I’m experiencing the pain. He even empathized with me, informing me he has a tooth with a similar issue. He did obviously check out all my teeth, and informed me that they looked good! That’s not relevant to the review, but it’s something that made me happy.
Overall, my experience at Mortenson Family Dental was a great one. I felt at ease with my care team instantly and the receptionists were so kind. I can’t wait for 6 months to pass so I can see them all again 🙂 If you’re considering going here for your dental needs, definitely go for it. You won’t regret it.
