Dr. Michelle Nichols received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. She has a BA in Spanish and a certificate in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Kentucky Dental Association and the Louisville Dental Society. Dr. Nichols enjoys educating patients about their oral health so their teeth can last a lifetime. She understands patients’ fear and anxiety about going to the dentist, as she has been a dentist for over 20 years. Time and experience has allowed her to have witnessed the many new technologies and materials that allow for better, less invasive treatments she can offer her patients to help alleviate dental fear . 

Her focus is on her patients. Dr. Nichols was lucky to have had a wonderful childhood dentist who was gracious in allowing her to do a summer internship in his office. As she shadowed him, she witnessed his compassion with his patients and it opened her eyes as to how important the relationship that is established with patients truly is. 

Dr. Nichols grew up with twin brothers in the Smoketown neighborhood of Louisville with her mother and grandparents. She loves reading, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys trying new foods and learning about local history and how our past connects us to the future, helping her make connections to people.
