Dr. Kate Mortenson joins her grandfather, Dr. Wayne Mortenson, her father, Dr. Brent Mortenson and many uncles and cousins in the Mortenson Family Dental family. Kate is a third generation dentist and has been around dentistry her whole life. She began assisting her dad while in high school, but it was her time as an assistant at Stonehaven Dental while attending Utah Valley University that solidified her desire to go on to dental school. She graduated from University of Louisville’s School of Dentistry and is a member of the Kentucky Dental Association and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Kate says what she likes most about dentistry are the patients. She loves getting to interact with so many different people every day and experience so many different things, noting, “the days are never boring.”  Dr. Kate enjoys working out in her spare time, especially at Pure Barre and Cyclebar classes, as well as spending time at the lake in the summers with her family. She and her husband, Tyler, have a Yorkie named Roxy.
