Not a fan of going to the dentist however, love my hygienist, Kayla! She has kept me on a regular schedule and is so nice and professional.

I am very satisfied with my visit today. Everybody were nice and friendly with me. Alina, the doctor’s assistant and also the doctor were very professional and answered all my questions. I also had a dental cleaning and Carolyn the hygienist, was very nice and careful. Thank you all

I have been a Mortenson patient since 2020, have recommend Mortenson to others, and will continue to do so. For background, here* is a review I left on the Nextdoor app on 7/22/2020. Since then, I have only had routine dental cleanings save for when I elected to try the new clear aligners from SureSmile (Invaslign competitor), which I am happy to report was another positive experience, so if you are hesitant to make such an investment I encourage you to do so. Dr. Scott Boatright is very competent and friendly, as are the staff. The only reason I cannot give five stars yet is that a handful of appointments have not started punctually, so time management seems to be a business challenge, and my most recent appointment was cancelled about 24 hours out due to a staff shortage (which to me seemed puzzling given that one would think the Mortenson affiliation would open up opportunities for backup dental assistants to substitute on an emergency basis — but, reportedly, that is an impossible dream). I hope to upgrade this to a truthful five stars based upon my experiences over the coming years. Make no mistake, however: Mortenson is great and right on the cusp of excellence. * Although I have received great service at Mortenson Family Dental – Springhurst in my three previous visits, today was exceptional. Dr. Scott and Suzi did a great job today handling what I expected to be two fillings and a probable crown. The potential crown would’ve been my first crown and, heading into the appointment, I had significant concerns about hastily rushing into a costly and irreversible procedure. What I appreciated most was how conservative Dr. Scott was in his approach, treating my teeth as if they were his own. For example, one filling very arguably could have been a root canal (and I was shown images that clearly conveyed this) but, as Dr. Scott said, “We’ll let the root canal come to us rather than rush to the root canal.” Similarly, a filling was attempted on another tooth but when it became clear that a crown was necessary to preserve the tooth’s structural integrity, the appropriate action was taken then and only then. The staff also did a great job in making sure that my bite was perfect, establishing clear expectations in regards to next steps, and reasonably explaining my charges with zero hidden surprises (unless I count the surprising good news of a reduced charge that I learned of at the counter). While I had read great review before I became a patient, personally experiencing a strong level of service matters even more, especially in the COVID-19 era, where health practitioners have every excuse to cut corners. I will continue coming to Mortenson for all dental check-ups and related work. I recommend others do the same.
