Dr. Powell is from Lawrenceburg, KY, where she has returned to live on her family’s farm after professional school. She attended Western Kentucky University where she met her husband Chris, and earned her BS in Biology. Chris and Emily lived in Louisville for 4 years while she earned her DMD from University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Powell has completed the University of Kentucky General Practice Residency where she learned not only to be comfortable treating the needs of patients with complex medical histories, but was trained in the placement and restoration of dental implants. When not spending time with her ‘work family,’ Dr. Emily, Chris, and their daughter, Ava, spend much of their time involved in church activities with First United Methodist, Frankfort as well as other community organizations.
